Inside Apprenticeship

The JATC works with highly successful contractors throughout the State to provide on the job training as well as extensive classroom training.  Apprentices will receive competitive wages as well as a great pension and medical plan.  College credit is also available to those who complete the program.  After completion you will be an Inside Journeyman Wireman and entitled to all of the privileges of membership in the IBEW including the ability to work anywhere in the world that work is available.

Electrical Experience not at Journeyman level?

Construction Wireman

This could be an option for you.  We have an assessment test that we can place you into a classification and payscale at a precentage of the Journeyman wages.  Working commercial and residential for the past few years will give you an opportunity to test into this program, if you do not have any experience you can signup at an entry level.  There are online classes available, to be able to prepare for the NM EE98J program, when you are enrolled in this program through the NMJATC.org

Construction Lineman

This could be an option for you if you have been building towers for transmission lines across the the nation and have not been through an apprenticeship program.  Minimum of 5,000 hours previous experience in the trade while classified as an Apprentice Lineman, Transmission Tech or Journeyman Lineman.  The Construction Lineman program will give you an opportunity to develop your skillset and have training provided by our apprenticeship program, SWLCAT.org.
