On Thursday, March 12th, 2026, IBEW 611’s Retiree Committee met at Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q in Santa Fe. Accompanied by Business Manager Alfonso Martinez, Jr., and Assistant Business Manager Jerome Garcia, the Retirees Committee presented a ceremonial pin to all retired members in attendance, commemorating their contributions to the brotherhood and sisterhood of IBEW Local 611.
“It was an honor to join these brothers and sisters as they celebrated their well-earned time off together. They are enjoying a life in retirement with dignity and grace—something we will all benefit from one day. Retirement is one of the many reasons why—as members—we all invest so much time and effort in our Local. It's knowing that all the time spent away from our families, providing for them, will provide for us too, when it's time to call it quits," said Alfonso Martinez Jr.
