IBEW Local 611 has supported Cuidando Los Niños for many years through various efforts like our annual softball tournaments or timely donations. This year, the 611 members banded together and donated funds to support a very specific initiative within Cuidando Los Niños—Family Sponsorship. The money donated by IBEW 611 had a direct impact on a family in our community. We provided home essentials like desks, beds, and other home essentials to a single mother and her three kids who have now transitioned from being homeless to secure housing. IBEW members and administration reps were present to make delivery and help load in their new furnishings. IBEW donated enough that we could even take care of the family's utility expenses for the holiday season.
